Job Purpose:
Are you passionate about teaching and inspiring the next generation of learners? We are seeking a dedicated and innovative English Lecturer to join our diverse team. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality education on a range of further and higher education courses, developing specific subject areas, and leading programmes of study.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach and manage a variety of further education courses.
Develop learning materials and mark student assignments.
Lead and coordinate course teams and specific subject areas.
Implement appropriate assessment methods to achieve learning goals.
Provide student guidance, counselling, and support.
Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance processes.
Participate in research, consultancy activities, and course verification.
Recruit and select students, meeting enrolment targets.
Engage in continuous professional development and training.
Essential Criteria:
Relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification.
Appropriate teaching qualification or substantial industrial experience.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a lecturing or training role within the Further and Higher Education sector.
Knowledge of innovative learning and teaching techniques.
Understanding of internal quality processes and procedures.
Personal Qualities:
Customer-centred approach with attention to detail.
Professional appearance and discretion.
Commitment to equality, diversity, health and safety, and safeguarding policies.
