The Opportunity

As our Engineering Lecturer, you’ll bring your industry knowledge and passion for teaching into the classroom—delivering a range of courses from Level 1 to Level 5 for both our full-time and part-time learners, including school leavers and adults. You’ll blend hands-on, practical sessions with solid theory, making learning meaningful and relevant to today’s engineering world.

You’ll plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire our students and reflect real-world engineering challenges. From writing lesson plans and schemes of work to developing interactive teaching materials, you’ll ensure everything is tailored to support diverse learners and meets curriculum and awarding body standards.

Supporting our learners will be at the heart of what you do. You’ll guide them through assessments, provide clear and constructive feedback, and help them build the confidence and skills to succeed. You’ll also take part in verifying and certifying work where required.

Working closely with your Course Leader and your teaching colleagues, you’ll help shape a curriculum that stays in step with industry needs. You’ll use a range of assessment strategies to monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to regular reviews that drive quality and improvement.

This is a great opportunity to inspire the next generation of engineers by sharing your industry expertise in a supportive, forward-thinking teaching environment. Whether you’re an experienced lecturer or new to teaching, you’ll shape the curriculum, grow professionally, and make a real impact.

About You

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable engineer with expertise across a range of disciplines—including CAD, manufacturing processes, engineering science, electrical and electronic principles, electronics, mechanical engineering, and project management.

You’ll have a solid grounding in both theory and hands-on practice, with the confidence to teach across Levels 1 to 5. Your up-to-date industry knowledge and familiarity with modern engineering tools will help bring the subject to life, delivering engaging, practical lessons that excite and inspire learners.

You’ll be skilled at adapting your teaching style to suit different learning needs, creating an inclusive and supportive classroom where every student can succeed. Your experience with engineering projects—both developing and supervising—will help our students build problem-solving skills, creativity, and real-world know-how.

If you’re passionate about mentoring the next generation of engineers and eager to share your experience, this is a brilliant opportunity to make a real impact. You’ll be helping our students connect academic learning with industry practice, setting them up for success and inspiring them to achieve their full potential.
