Are you passionate about teaching and inspiring students in mathematics?

DN Colleges Group is looking for a dedicated and experienced Maths Lecturer to join our team. This role involves teaching GCSE and Functional Skills Maths on a range of further education courses, contributing to curriculum development, and ensuring the achievement of learning and teaching goals.

Key Responsibilities

Teach Maths GCSE and Functional Skills Maths on various further education courses.

Develop specific subject areas, prepare learning materials, and mark student assignments.

Contribute to the management of learning programmes, including quality assurance and student guidance.

Coordinate course teams and ensure effective delivery of curriculum and timetabling.

Manage the classroom environment and assess students to meet their individual learning needs.

Recruit and select students for relevant programmes and meet enrolment targets.

Participate in the departmental annual Self-Assessment Report (SAR) and other quality assurance processes.

Undertake mandatory and job-specific training and contribute to personal development.

Essential Criteria

Appropriate teaching qualification or substantial industrial experience (or working towards a teaching qualification).

Relevant subject expertise in mathematics.

Relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification at level 3 in/associated with mathematics.

Minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience in a lecturing or training role within the Further and Higher Education sector.

GCSEs 4-9/A-C or equivalent in Mathematics and English.

Desirable Criteria

Experience of delivering GCSE Maths to re-sit students in an FE setting within the UK.

Experience of delivering Functional Skills Maths at Entry level.

Knowledge and experience of innovative learning and teaching techniques.

Understanding of internal quality processes and procedures.
