Salary: £12.21 per hour

Hours/Weeks: 30 hours per week

Contract Type: Sessional – Hourly Paid

About the role:

We are currently seeking 4 x Admissions Assistants (one role per campus) to join The Bedford College Group’s Customer Services department as a Summer Associate.

As an Admissions Assistant, you play an important role in the success of our students through:

  • Overall Responsibilities – Support high-quality admissions and enrolment service during summer; ensure smooth applicant journey from data collection to final enrolment.
  • Main Duties – Assist at enrolment events, provide excellent customer service, support team tasks, work flexibly across campuses, follow safeguarding procedures; collect and process applicant data, conduct pre-enrolment checks, update records, resolve queries, provide administrative support, implement improvements based on feedback.
  • Team Collaboration – Work effectively within the Marketing, Communications & Student Recruitment Directorate, carry out other duties as directed.

About you:

  • Qualifications – Good standard of education, including GCSE Maths and English (grades A-C) or equivalent.
  • Experience – Administration role with targets and deadlines, busy customer-facing environment, client confidentiality and GDPR, working with diverse backgrounds.
  • Skills – Good organizational skills, ability to work under pressure, collaborative work, friendly and welcoming communication, remaining calm and professional, excellent IT skills, quick learning of new processes, effective communication with stakeholders, promoting reputation, self-motivated and enthusiastic.
  • Attributes – Professional behavior and appearance, willingness to travel to all campuses, flexible work patterns, responsibility for safeguarding welfare, maintaining appropriate relationships and boundaries.

What is an Associate?

Associates work on a short term basis as assigned. They teach or provide support services and they work with and are supported by core staff. As an Associate you will be issued with an Associate agreement, under this Agreement period you will be eligible to work on assignments offered to you. Typically an agreement runs from January to December and may be renewed thereafter.
