Learning and Development Administrator

Job Details
- Location: Wakefield College
- Salary: £26,085 – £27,673 per annum
- Hours: 37 hours per week
Are you passionate about learning and development? Whether you’re just starting your career or looking to build on your existing skills, this is a fantastic opportunity to grow in a dynamic and supportive environment.
We’re on the lookout for someone enthusiastic, proactive, and ready to make a difference to join our friendly People Services team. This is your chance to play a key role at the heart of our organisation, supporting a variety of staff development and engagement activities.
In this varied role, you’ll be involved in a wide range of administrative tasks — from coordinating internal and external training events like Corporate Inductions and Development Days, to maintaining accurate training records and databases. You’ll play a key part in supporting staff engagement initiatives, including surveys, internal communications, and other people-focused activities.
You’ll be part of a fast-paced and supportive environment where no two days are the same — and there’s always something new to learn. If you’re a collaborative team player with a passion for great service, a forward-thinking mindset, and the resilience to thrive in a dynamic setting, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a professional, experienced, and dedicated team.
As Development and Engagement Administrator, you should have:
GCSE grade A*- C / 9 – 4 or equivalent in English and Maths
Ideally, you will have:
- Some experience working in a customer-focused environment (this could be in retail, hospitality, education, or similar)
- Familiarity with office administration processes, with good attention to detail
- Solid IT skills, especially in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- The ability to manage your time, stay organised, and adapt to changing priorities
- Great communication and people skills
- A positive attitude, team spirit, and a commitment to providing excellent service
If you’re organised, motivated, and ready to develop your skills in a friendly, supportive team, we’d love to hear from you.
While a minimum of GCSE grade A-C / 9–4 (or equivalent) in English and Maths is essential, please don’t worry if you don’t tick every other box — if you’re enthusiastic, eager to learn, and feel this role is right for you, we still encourage you to apply.
